After two weeks of recovering from a burned hand, my life is back on track. It’s nice to return to a routine.
I’m still trying to make sense of why it happened. The more I think about it, the less sense it makes. So maybe I’m not supposed to think about it.
One lesson I did end up learning was that I was overworking myself. I tend to work too hard because I feel I must do everything myself or else it won’t get done.
I realize now that such an approach is not healthy. I need to take care of myself first.
It’s common in today’s world to have an attitude of “I have to take care of others before myself”. Some people even feel selfish for taking time to themselves or for talking about their emotions.
It is in no way selfish to take care of yourself! You are important. You are worth it.
It’s okay to ask for help and doing so does not diminish our worth.
I like to think that life is full of lessons. We never stop learning and growing. It’s up to us to apply these lessons to move forward in life.
Well, that’s about it for this week’s post.
Have a great week everyone, and always take care of yourself.
