In life, it’s common to have days where we think “nothing is going right.” Our minds then play out the negative events of the day on repeat trying to register it all.
We may not be able to fathom why the day turned out like it did.
We cannot change the past, but we can change the future. We cannot change what happened in our day, but we can change the way we look at bad days in the future.
“Why did the day go wrong?” We may think.
Let’s try changing just one word in that sentence.
“Why did the day go right?”
At first, that might not make sense.
However, if we look back at all the little things, we might find lessons hidden.
Did you lose your cool around someone? Try being nicer and more understanding.
Was someone rude to you? Don’t absorb what they said. Let it go and move on.
Couldn’t finish everything you set out to accomplish? Tomorrow is another day. Don’t beat yourself up over lost time.
I strongly believe that every event leads to a correct outcome.
We cannot always see what “correct” means in the context of life. However, every event and every outcome serves to teach us something. It is up to us whether we are willing to learn from these lessons or not.
And every lesson takes us one step closer to happiness.
On a side note, I never really understood all those people who tell you that life or work is supposed to stress you out.
Being miserable all the time is supposed to be the way of life? I don’t buy it.
We always possess the power to change at every moment. Happiness is not an illusion as some may claim.
It is up to all of us to overcome our struggles and find that happiness. It does exist. Don’t ever give up on finding it.
Have a great week everyone, and don’t lose yourself in your stresses and burdens.
