As we all live out our busy lives, there is sometimes a point in which we lose our way. Every solution we may have used in the past does not work. Every avenue of going forward seems riddled with only trials and tribulations.
And so, we may end up feeling that we must discard a part of ourselves in order to fit in with what society or others around us expect us to be.
It is only human to lose our way once in a while. It is precisely during these difficult times in which we find our true strength.
The world is filled with so much conflict and hatred. The world is in such a state of disharmony. That is not to say that there isn’t goodness in the world, because there definitely is.
However, in order to take a step forward, we must first go inward.
What is it that you are conflicted with? What is it that you struggle to hide from others?
The first and often hardest step is to find peace with yourself.
It’s so easy to pick apart every single one of your flaws. It’s so easy to beat yourself up over every single mistake.
But the truth is, everyone makes mistakes. Mistakes cannot be fully avoided. They are meant to be learned from.
Be gentle to yourself. Don’t absorb the harsh words of others.
Life is meant to be lived in balance. If we stray too far in one direction, we will be in disharmony.
Taking care of ourselves is not selfish. We all have needs.
Putting off your needs and telling yourself you can’t do certain things only sets you up for failure down the road.
Live in the moment. Don’t worry about the past or the future.
We may not see answers to the problems that ail us. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t any answers.
Trust in yourself. You will find your way. Everything will eventually make sense. Don’t try and force change. Change comes precisely when it is needed.
